All fun of Wild West
Thousands of people crowded into Sutton Bridge Memorial Park to get a taste of the Wild West American-style event. Among the attractions were Todd Cody's Wild West adventure, American Cars, stunt horse riders and costume characters, including Marilyn Monroe and Haurel and Lardy (Laurel and Hardy lookalikes). Other highlights included line dancing, a clown show and a firework display provided the finale. The power station also took the opportunity to invite residents to a coach tour around its site. Spalding Guardian Sutton Bridge correspondent Irene Limbert said the event had been packed out and everyone had enjoyed themselves. She added, "It was crowded. Haurel and Lardy were exceptionally good. They were more like Laurel and Hardy than Laurel and Hardy! There was something for all ages." |
